Press & Small Fabrications Operator

Mazco Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading precision manufacturing company in Romford for an experienced Press & Small Fabrications Operator.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business manufacturing high-quality components for safety-critical industries. The successful candidate will have experience operating press machinery and carrying out small fabrication work within a manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Set up and operate press machinery to manufacture precision components.
• Carry out small fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Perform basic forming, bending and pressing operations.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Use measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating press machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience with small fabrication, forming or sheet metal work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of quality standards and inspection techniques.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
