A welcoming and well-established mainstream primary school in Battersea is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover contract from September through to February 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach a small, well-supported Year 2 class within a friendly and collaborative school environment. The school is ideally looking to appoint a teacher on the M2-M4 pay scale, making this an excellent opportunity for an early career teacher beyond their induction years or a developing classroom practitioner looking to continue their professional growth.

The successful candidate will take full classroom responsibility and play an active role within the wider school community.

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

• Be on the M2-M4 pay scale or have experience equivalent to this level

• Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Be organised, enthusiastic, and committed to raising attainment

• Have strong communication and teamwork skills

• Have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
