Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to pupils with additional needs?

Aspire People are working with a specialist education setting in Cambridgeshire to recruit a Primary SEN Teacher to join their team from January 2027.

This is a varied and exciting teaching opportunity, supporting small groups of pupils with autism and additional special educational needs. Alongside delivering core learning, you'll have the opportunity to teach a range of creative and practical subjects including Art, Music, Drama and Food Technology across different Primary groups.

The role would suit a Primary Teacher who enjoys variety, creative teaching and adapting learning to meet individual needs.

What you'll be doing:

-Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons to small groups of pupils
-Teaching pupils with autism and a range of additional SEND needs
-Delivering creative and practical subjects including Art, Music, Drama and Food Technology
-Adapting teaching and resources to meet individual learning needs
-Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
-Monitoring progress and using assessment to inform future learning
-Contributing to EHCP reviews, individual education plans and progress reports
-Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists and other professionals
-Promoting positive behaviour and creating a calm, supportive learning environment
-Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
-Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency across the curriculum

What we're looking for:

-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-Degree or equivalent qualification
-Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs
-A good understanding of autism and strategies to support autistic learners
-Confidence managing behaviour and supporting pupils with additional needs
-Strong communication and organisational skills
-A creative, flexible and pupil-centred approach to teaching
-Recent and relevant CPD

Desirable:

-KS1 and/or KS2 teaching experience
-SEN or Autism-specific qualifications or training
-Experience within a specialist education setting
-Understanding of pupils with a PDA profile
-Additional professional qualifications such as NPQML
