We are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Teachers for flexible supply opportunities starting in September across schools in Lewes. Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly welcomed.

About the Role

Are you looking for a flexible teaching opportunity for the new academic year? We are recruiting motivated Primary Supply Teachers to support a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Lewes from September.

This role offers the opportunity to gain experience across different school settings, further develop your teaching practice, and enjoy flexibility in your working schedule. Supply teaching can also lead to longer-term placements and permanent opportunities for the right candidates.

Key Duties
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff in new school environments.
  • Follow school policies and curriculum plans effectively.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and promote pupil wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within UK primary schools.
  • Strong behaviour management and organisational skills.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Professional, flexible, and reliable approach to work.
