The Role


As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
  • Assist children with varying learning needs to access the curriculum successfully.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil participation.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
  • Monitor progress and share feedback with teaching staff.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.


We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well as part of a team and can use their own initiative.
  • Has GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Has a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help children succeed.
