The Role
As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, creating a positive classroom environment and supporting pupils to make strong academic and personal progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the primary curriculum.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils.
- Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly.
- Maintaining high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement.
- Using a range of creative and effective teaching strategies to engage pupils.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and school community.
- Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
- A minimum of 6 months' recent UK classroom experience.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A nurturing, patient and child-centred approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Confidence working independently while contributing effectively to a wider school team.
- A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their potential.
This opportunity is based in Buckingham, Hull (HU8), making it an excellent option for teachers living in or travelling from Hull, Sutton-on-Hull, Bilton, Bransholme, Ings, East Hull, Beverley, Cottingham, Hessle and surrounding areas.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
- At least 6 months' recent UK classroom experience.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
- Ability to provide a full two years of employment and/or education references.
- At least one reference relating to working with children.
- Right to work in the UK.
- References should be available during the pre-screen or registration process to support a smooth compliance journey.
