About the role

Start date/End date: September 2026/ ongoing

Days/hours: Mon – Fri 8:30am – 3:30pm

Location: Barry

Pay: £172.98 a day

We are recruiting on behalf of a lovely primary school in The Vale for a newly qualified teacher who is wanting to make an impact! Preferably you will have experience in working or completed placements with Key Stage 2 (KS2).

As a class teacher you will be responsible for delivering core curriculum to no more than 30 students, ensuring lessons are informative and engaging. The role is more than a teacher, it is creating a positive and safe environment for children to learn and develop in. There are no 1:1 pupils in the class so no ALN experience is necessary, but it always goes a long way.

This lively primary school is in the heart of the vale of Glamorgan which was last rated by Estyn as ‘Good’.

They welcome approximately 210 students which includes a nursery, so there is a place for everyone which is affirmed by the school’s main mission; to create a safe, secure and happy learning environment in the heart of the local community.  It is vital that all pupils are encouraged to achieve their potential through a challenging, exciting and inclusive curriculum, enabling them to acquire skills for lifelong learning.

  • Be keen and eager

  • Experience with KS2
  • Able to commit to a long-term position
  • Be an ECT with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • An enhanced child DBS, on the update service
  • A live EWC registration
