About the role

Start: September 2026 | Hours: Full time | Location: Cardiff | Pay: QTS scale

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teacher to join a supportive primary school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher looking to gain valuable classroom experience while making a positive impact on pupils' learning and development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with school staff to ensure high standards of teaching and learning are maintained while contributing to the wider school community.

Importantly, about you

You will need to:

  • Be an ECT with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Passionate about creating an inclusive and safe environment for children to learn
  • Committed to the safeguarding of children
  • Ready to take on challenges and adapt lesson plans if needed
  • Have a proactive, go-getter attitude!

What you will need

  • An enhanced child DBS on the Update Service
  • A live EWC registration
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
