About the Role

Are you an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to kickstart your career, or an experienced Key Stage 1 specialist seeking a brilliant new challenge?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a fantastic primary school based in Leigh. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position starting this September. For the right candidate, this role offers a seamless transition onto a permanent school contract.

Year 1 is a crucial transition year, and the school is looking for a passionate educator who can make learning active, engaging, and supportive as pupils move away from the EYFS framework.

What the School is Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc. or similar programmes).

An ECT looking for a supportive environment to complete parts of their induction.

A creative approach to lessons that keeps young learners focused and inspired.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained

You must have the legal right to work in the UK
