Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for permanent) 

About the Role: 

Vocational Recruitment is working in partnership with a vibrant primary school in East London to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Upper KS1/Lower KS2 Primary Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2026. 

This is a long-term position as a Primary Teacher with the strong possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate. You will take full class responsibility, including planning, marking, and assessment, supported by an experienced parallel teacher and phase leader.

Key Responsibilities for the Primary Teacher role: 

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1/KS2 national curriculum 

• Take full responsibility for a class, including assessment, marking and reporting 

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners 

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement 

• Work collaboratively with the parallel class teacher and wider school team 

• Contribute to the wider school community where appropriate 

Requirements for the Primary Teacher role: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 

• Experience teaching in KS1/KS2 (Year 2-4 experience desirable but not essential) 

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills 

• A proactive and positive approach to teaching 

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
