We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools across Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and making a positive impact on children's learning and development.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils in the classroom, provide one-to-one and small group interventions, and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) OR previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or a willingness to obtain one.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
The ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs.
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
Assist in preparing classroom resources and activities.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
Support pupils with additional needs where required.
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
