Primary School Teaching Assistant Required
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Oldham to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. The role will involve working across the primary age range, providing classroom support, delivering interventions, and offering one-to-one assistance to pupils with additional learning needs.
The school serves a diverse community and is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and pupils who may requireadditional academic, social or emotional support.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils across the primary age range within the classroom.

Work closely with children on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups.

Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and other additional learning requirements.

Assist pupils who may need additional help accessing the curriculum.

Support positive behaviour management and emotional wellbeing.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to ensure every child receives the support they need.

Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Encourage pupil confidence, independence and resilience.
We are looking for someone who:
-
Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, care or support setting.

Has previous experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.

Is confident providing one-to-one support and differentiated learning assistance.

Demonstrates patience, empathy and a nurturing approach.

Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Is proactive, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
