The Role

As a Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You'll work closely with clients, architects, and fellow engineers while helping to shape the technical direction of projects from concept through to completion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others, taking ownership, and being a key contributor to both project delivery and the wider business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and delivery of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.
  • Manage projects through all RIBA stages.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to develop the next generation of talent.
  • Review and oversee technical designs to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the wider leadership team and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.
  • Attend client and design team meetings and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Significant experience within a building services consultancy environment.
  • Experience delivering residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Chartered status or working towards Chartership is desirable.
  • Passionate about mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
