Are you a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant looking for greater technical ownership and exposure to complex projects? This London opportunity combines hydraulic modelling, hydrology, technical assurance and client responsibility across major UK and international schemes.
The Opportunity
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to join its established water team. You will provide technical leadership across flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling projects while remaining closely involved in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling work
* Review complex hydraulic models and Flood Risk Assessments
* Provide technical advice across infrastructure and development projects
* Support climate adaptation and water environment assessments
* Manage project delivery and client relationships
* Work closely with multidisciplinary design and environmental teams
* Mentor junior and mid-level consultants and modellers
* Support proposals, work winning and development of the technical service
Candidate Requirements
* Strong consultancy experience in flood risk and hydrology
* Chartered professional status or working towards Chartership
* Advanced hydraulic modelling and technical review capability
* Experience delivering complex Flood Risk Assessments and hydrological studies
* Strong client-facing and project management skills
* Experience mentoring and developing technical staff
