Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join a highly respected engineering team based in Motherwell. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to work on complex, technically challenging building services projects across a range of regulated and specialist sectors.

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical building services design, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in line with current regulations and project requirements. You will lead the mechanical elements of projects, overseeing time, cost, quality and resource allocation, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. A key part of the role will be developing strong client relationships and supporting the growth and mentoring of a motivated engineering team.

This role would suit an experienced professional who is either Chartered or working towards Chartership, with a proven track record of delivering mechanical building services projects. As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact, working in a collaborative and supportive environment with strong career progression opportunities.

✅ Essential requirements:

• Chartered or working towards (Mechanical / Building Services)
• Strong experience delivering mechanical building services projects
• Experience managing projects or work packages
• Excellent stakeholder and team leadership skills
