Join our growing Electronic Warfare Operations Support Group (EWOS), made up of 80+ electronic warfare specialists, and play a key role in delivering innovative Test & Evaluation (T&E) capabilities for our customers.

As a Principal RF Systems Engineer, you’ll lead MASS’s synthetic range activities from our Enterprise House facility in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, supporting customer and innovation projects and delivering synthetic T&E trials.

You’ll also provide technical direction to engineers and act as a key technical point of contact for customers and stakeholders, solving complex challenges, and working with cutting-edge technology.

Essential:

  • Experience creating test scripts/programmes/suites (e.g. LabView, Python, or MATLAB) for Test Bench Equipment (TBE) and bespoke hardware (e.g. GNSS emulators).
  • Experience of synthetic hardware and testing methods (e.g. DSI and IQ streaming).
  • Use of laboratory equipment (Network Analysers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes).
  • Experience performing calibration and configuration tasking with defined test strategies.
  • STEM Degree.

 Desirable:

  • Knowledge about how EW systems (e.g. Radar) work.
  • Experience working on trials (field, synthetic, or virtual).
  • Experience using Version Control software (e.g. Git)
  • Experience using networking analysing tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds TFTP etc.)
  • Experience of analogue circuit design and build in low power laboratory environments (e.g. Up/Down Conversion).
  • Mentoring & coaching of junior engineers.
  • Experience working on agile projects
