This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute project leader with a proven background in hydropower or major renewable energy projects who is looking to play a key role in delivering critical low-carbon infrastructure.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will take full ownership of multiple hydropower projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams while acting as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, regulators, and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of complex hydropower projects from design through to commissioning and handover.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and commercial performance to ensure successful outcomes.
- Provide leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams across civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental disciplines.
- Oversee procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Manage NEC/FIDIC contracts, including change control, variations and commercial risk.
- Champion health, safety, quality and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support future business development
- A proven track record delivering hydropower, renewable energy or complex multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Strong leadership experience managing large project teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial and contractual management skills, particularly with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts.
- Experience managing project risk, programme controls and financial performance.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS, SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Willingness to travel regularly to sites across the UK.
