A well-regarded London law firm is seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join its expanding Private Client team in Whitechapel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Paralegal with previous experience in wills, probate or estate administration to develop their career within a supportive and growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced solicitors, gaining exposure to a broad range of private client matters.



The Private Client Paralegal's Role

The successful Private Client Paralegal will support fee earners across a varied private client caseload, including wills, probate, trusts and estate administration matters.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of wills, LPAs, trust documents and related legal paperwork
  • Supporting probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to completion
  • Preparing probate applications and inheritance tax forms
  • Collating asset and liability information and liaising with banks, HMRC and third parties
  • Assisting with Office of the Public Guardian applications and LPA registrations
  • Preparing legal correspondence and attendance notes
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, executors and professional contacts
  • Supporting client onboarding, ID checks and AML compliance
  • Managing case files, deadlines and document records
  • Maintaining accurate records on the firm's case management system


The Private Client Paralegal

  • Minimum 1 year's experience within a Private Client team
  • Previous experience in wills, probate, trusts or estate administration
  • Strong understanding of private client processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • Professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients
  • Experience using legal case management systems would be advantageous
