Probation Service Officer- London PDU

Location: Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster PDU, London W12 9AX
Contract: Temporary - 6 Months (with potential extension)
Hours: Full-Time, 37 Hours per Week, Monday until Friday
Pay rate: £19.78 PAYE or £25.95 Umbrella p/h

Red Snapper is recruiting on behalf of the Probation Service for a Probation Services Officer to join the Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster PDU on a temporary basis.

The Role

As a Probation Services Officer, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on probation to reduce reoffending and successfully reintegrate into the community. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will manage cases, monitor compliance, deliver interventions, and liaise with a range of partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a caseload of people on probation.
• Conduct assessments and contribute to sentence planning.
• Monitor compliance with court orders and licence conditions.
• Deliver rehabilitative interventions and support positive behavioural change.
• Maintain accurate records and reports using probation systems.
• Work closely with colleagues and external agencies to manage risk and safeguard the public.

Essential Requirements

• Previous PSO experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Strong understanding of probation processes, including risk management
• Ability to attend the office site regularly as required at least 4 days per week
