Our client is seeking a Process Operator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is confident working with machinery, following detailed work instructions and maintaining high quality standards. Experience within rubber manufacturing would be advantageous.

Job type: Full time, permanent 
Location: Bordon 
Salary: £25k - £29k p/a 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Operate press, finishing, inspection and packing equipment safely and efficiently. 
  • Mould products in line with documented settings and manufacturing instructions. 
  • Operate multiple machines following appropriate training. 
  • Finish and assemble products to required specifications. 
  • Inspect products using visual, manual and digital inspection methods. 
  • Carry out rework where required and report non-conforming products. 
  • Pack and label products accurately to customer requirements. 
  • Complete manufacturing paperwork accurately to maintain batch traceability. 
  • Monitor the quality of your own work and maintain a right-first-time approach. 
  • Report equipment faults and defects promptly to the appropriate team. 
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety and environmental practices. 
  • Work closely with colleagues across production, material preparation and inspection to minimise rejects and waste. 
 
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements: 
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Ability to read and understand written work instructions and drawings. 
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • A proactive, self-motivated and flexible approach to work. 
  • Good timekeeping and a professional attitude. 
 
Our Ideal Candidate: 
  • An experienced manufacturing operator who takes pride in producing quality products. 
  • Someone confident working with machinery and following detailed manufacturing instructions. 
  • A reliable team player with excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude. 
  • Experience within the rubber manufacturing industry or an NVQ in Manufacturing Operations would be advantageous.
