Salary: £25k - £29k p/a
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate press, finishing, inspection and packing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mould products in line with documented settings and manufacturing instructions.
- Operate multiple machines following appropriate training.
- Finish and assemble products to required specifications.
- Inspect products using visual, manual and digital inspection methods.
- Carry out rework where required and report non-conforming products.
- Pack and label products accurately to customer requirements.
- Complete manufacturing paperwork accurately to maintain batch traceability.
- Monitor the quality of your own work and maintain a right-first-time approach.
- Report equipment faults and defects promptly to the appropriate team.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety and environmental practices.
- Work closely with colleagues across production, material preparation and inspection to minimise rejects and waste.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand written work instructions and drawings.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive, self-motivated and flexible approach to work.
- Good timekeeping and a professional attitude.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- An experienced manufacturing operator who takes pride in producing quality products.
- Someone confident working with machinery and following detailed manufacturing instructions.
- A reliable team player with excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Experience within the rubber manufacturing industry or an NVQ in Manufacturing Operations would be advantageous.
