Process Technician
Location: Haverhill
Salary: £16.68 (overtime paid at a standard rate of £13.79p/h)
Hours: Monday - Friday - Rotating shift 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am
Contract Type: Minimum 12 months (could go permanent for the right candidate before 12 months)
Our client is seeking a Process Technician to join their growing production team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous production or GMP experience who has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in following procedures and maintaining high standards. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
As the Process Technician your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring pharmaceutical production equipment safely and efficiently
- Carrying out routine and complex manufacturing tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Completing raw material charging and other production activities in line with approved procedures
- Setting up, cleaning and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Monitoring production progress and reporting any issues or deviations to line management
- Completing accurate batch documentation and production records
- Maintaining accurate spreadsheets and production databases
- Operating machinery within the designated production area
- Carrying out basic equipment maintenance and identifying potential equipment issues
- Supporting improvements to SOPs and production processes
- Working in accordance with GMP, Good Distribution Practices and relevant regulatory requirements
- Following all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures and company standards
An ideal candidate for the Process Technician will have:
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
- Previous GMP experience would be highly desirable
- A good standard of written English for completing production records and documentation
- Basic numeracy skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills
- The ability to follow written procedures and instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- A proactive approach to learning, training and personal development
- The ability to investigate problems and follow established procedures to resolve issues
- The ability to work independently whilst also contributing effectively as part of a team
- A strong understanding of the importance of quality, health and safety and environmental standards
- A reliable, professional and responsible approach to work
