💷Salary: £58,000 - £60,000

⏰Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Are you an experienced procurement professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Join our client as a Procurement Lead and take charge of managing global procurement activities, focusing on suppliers from China.

Responsibilities:

• 🌍 Lead commercial management for a defined portfolio of out‑of‑China suppliers and contract manufacturers. Own pricing, terms, and contract implementation!
• 🏷️ Run RFx and negotiations to secure competitive pricing and optimise total cost of ownership.
• 📊 Analyse key cost drivers and propose actions to mitigate risks.
• 🤝 Be the primary contact for out‑of‑China suppliers. Build strong relationships aligned with our client's service, quality, and compliance standards!
• 📈 Review supplier performance across cost, quality, and responsiveness, driving improvements with cross-functional teams.
• 🚨 Assess supply chain risks and support dual-sourcing decisions when necessary.
• 💡 Support annual cost-improvement targets by identifying opportunities for value creation!
• 📉 Track and report savings and cost avoidance in collaboration with Finance.
• ✅ Operate within procurement policies to ensure ethical dealings with suppliers.
• 📝 Maintain risk registers covering geopolitical, capacity, and material risks, and support execution of mitigation plans.
• 🔄 Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure supplier alignment with launches and service requirements.
• 📅 Lead procurement workstreams for change controls and supplier audits related to out‑of‑China supply.

Key Experience and must have:

• Must have strong procurement or sourcing experience, ideally in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage cross-cultural relationships and time zones.
• Solid understanding of contract manufacturing and supply risk management principles.
