Are you a procurement and supply chain professional who understands the demands of working across international markets? This is an opportunity to influence sourcing, supplier performance, planning and logistics, with a particular focus on working effectively with manufacturers and suppliers in the US.

Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client to recruit a Procurement and Logistics Specialist based in Hull. You’ll connect procurement strategy with day-to-day delivery, developing strong relationships across the business and international supply base while keeping quality, service, cost and resilience firmly in focus.
  
The Opportunity:
As a Procurement and Logistics Specialist you’ll play a key role in:

• Managing relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, including those operating within the US, ensuring expectations around cost, quality, lead times and service are clearly understood and delivered.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand demand, operational priorities and commercial objectives, translating these into effective procurement and supply chain plans.
• Managing end-to-end supplier activity across assigned categories and products, from sourcing and onboarding through to structured performance management.
• Developing sourcing strategies that balance total cost, quality, resilience, international lead times and supply risk, while negotiating effective commercial terms and service commitments.
• Supporting demand planning, inventory decisions and purchasing schedules, using supplier and operational data to identify risks, improve performance and maintain continuity of supply.

Your work will directly contribute to stronger international supplier relationships, improved product availability and a more resilient supply chain, supporting consistent service for customers.
  
About You:
We’re looking for someone who can bring:

• Previous experience operating within US markets or working directly with manufacturers or suppliers based in the US.
• Experience within procurement, logistics or supply chain, with a practical understanding of sourcing, supplier management and stakeholder engagement.
• Confidence managing international supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms and addressing performance, service or supply issues constructively.
• An understanding of how procurement decisions affect international lead times, inventory, product quality, logistics, service levels and wider operational performance.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret data, recognise trends, manage competing priorities and turn insight into action.

You’ll be comfortable building relationships across different markets and working collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Clear communication, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to solving supply chain challenges will be important.
