Reed is delighted to be partnering with a growing manufacturing business in South Aberdeen to recruit a Procurement Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to take ownership of the procurement function, driving best practice, strengthening supplier relationships, and supporting the company's ongoing growth and development. You will play a key role in ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies while maintaining the highest standards of quality, service, and supply chain performance.


Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement efficient procurement processes, policies, and best practices across the business.
* Lead and manage procurement activities to ensure continuity of supply and operational excellence.
* Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners.
* Negotiate supplier agreements, contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms.
* Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and service level agreements, ensuring continuous improvement.
* Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality, reliability, or service levels.
* Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders across operations, engineering, production, and finance to support business objectives.
* Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and spend data to identify procurement opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and procurement best practices.
* Support inventory optimisation and contribute to overall supply chain efficiency.


Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in a Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer, Strategic Sourcing, or similar procurement leadership role.
* Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or related environment.
* Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
* Demonstrable success in delivering cost reductions, supplier improvements, and procurement efficiencies.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
