ReeVR are partnered with a growing manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager. As the business continues to grow, we are creating a new opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to take full ownership of the procurement function. This is a rare opportunity to join a successful manufacturing business at an exciting stage of its development and play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement department as the company continues to expand.

This role would particularly suit an ambitious procurement professional who enjoys building structure, introducing best practice, and creating robust processes from the ground up. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish the procurement framework, systems, governance, supplier management processes, and reporting infrastructure needed to support a growing manufacturing business.

The appointed Procurement Manager will meet the following key responsibilities;

  • Take end-to-end ownership of all purchased materials, including raw materials, components, consumables, and indirect spend.
  • Develop and maintain a structured supplier base aligned to quality, cost, lead time, and supply security requirements.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders across all categories, ensuring alignment with production demand, MRP outputs, and programme schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and current procurement data within the ERP/MRP system, ensuring full visibility of supplier commitments and open orders.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular reviews, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, qualification, and approval processes in line with business and quality requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, contracts, and commercial agreements.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Production teams to translate customer demand and programme requirements into effective procurement plans.
  • Manage material call-offs and phased purchasing activities to balance inventory levels and production continuity.
  • Establish and implement procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to support a growing business.
  • Create scalable procurement processes, systems, and reporting structures from the ground up.
  • Drive year-on-year cost reduction and value improvement initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
