Position Overview
This role is the Head of Product's right hand. You will run the day-to-day product engine - development, suppliers, samples, approvals, and critical path - with genuine autonomy, freeing the Head of Product to focus on strategy and growth. You will be trusted to make calls within your lane, escalating decisions rather than tasks, and earning increasing autonomy as you go. We are looking for an over-performer ready for their next step - someone currently working in buying or product development who has outgrown their role and wants to run something, not just support it. You will get real breadth here: range building, supplier relationships, development, fit, and trade insight, all in one seat, with a clear path to owning the product function day-to-day as the brand grows. If you are passionate about product and want to see your fingerprints on a growing range, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to accelerate your career.
Who You Are
* Product-obsessed - currently operating at Junior Buyer, Assistant Buyer, or Product Developer level with a genuine passion for great product.
* Detail-driven, with the organisation to keep trackers, samples, and approvals moving without being chased.
* Motivated by challenging briefs, with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
* Confident, enthusiastic, and self-motivated - able to use initiative and work at pace in a reactive environment.
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving or exceeding key performance metrics.
* An excellent communicator, written and verbal, who builds strong professional relationships.
* You want to run something, not just support it - you take full ownership of your lane and hold yourself accountable for the outcome.
* Works with genuine autonomy - comes to meetings prepared, brings solutions not just problems, and can run with a brief without hand-holding.
* A flexible, considerate team player who thrives in a start-up environment. What You'll Be Doing Range & Buying
* Collaborate with the Head of Product to curate a product assortment in line with Lemonade's vision and key performance metrics.
* Support the Head of Product in range building and developing specific categories.
* Maintain range plans and design development sheets across seasonal collections, keeping them accurate and up to date throughout development.
* Analyse sales and inventory data, presenting insights and recommendations to optimise the product mix.
* Support weekly and monthly trade meetings - owning the data pulls and first-draft trade callouts for Head of Product review, and providing product-level commentary on best and worst sellers.
* Provide market analysis on future trends and competitor ranges through comp shops and external research. Product Development & Critical Path
* Own the critical path end to end - from initial development through to delivery - keeping schedules on track and resolving issues before they become delays.
* Run the development process day to day, making the calls needed to keep execution and approvals moving.
* Ensure timely placement of purchase orders with suppliers.
* Own sample management - labelling, maintaining the development tracker, and ensuring the correct samples are available for meetings.
* Attend fit meetings with the garment tech team, contributing on fit, styling, and trims.
* Own lab dip and trim approvals. Relationships & Team
* Own day-to-day supplier communication - chasing samples, lab dips, and approvals, and flagging critical path risks early so issues are raised before they become delays.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and wholesale partners.
* Manage day-to-day department requirements, ensuring effective communication across the team. Skills / Experience Required
* Solid buying or product development experience is essential - you may currently be a Junior Buyer, Assistant Buyer, or Product Developer ready to step up.
* A clear understanding of product critical paths, lead times, and garment development.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn sales and inventory data into recommendations.
* Previous experience working with wholesale partners is an advantage.
* Experience with Adobe / CAD desired, not essential.
* Computer literate with intermediate MS Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
* Knowledge of the lingerie or fashion industry (desired, not essential).
* Experience in a start-up is a significant plus. What We'll Do for You
* Generous holiday allowance.
* Simply Health benefits.
* Pension plan.
* Undies subscription.
* Remote working week in summer and around Christmas.
* Plus many more benefits. Join us and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to shaping the future of our brand!
