Product Manager in Alfreton, Derbyshire

Our client is looking for a commercially focused Product Manager to join their technical marketing team.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing a product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, developing product strategies and roadmaps, supporting new product development and identifying opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Technical, Development, Sales, Marketing and other business functions, you will ensure our products meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Gather customer and market requirements and translate them into product specifications.
• Support new product development projects through the Stage-Gate process, including business case preparation and product launches.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and commercial readiness.
• Monitor product performance, customer feedback, quality trends and competitor activity.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost reduction and margin improvement.
• Build strong relationships with customers, distributors, consultants and industry stakeholders.
• Provide technical and commercial product expertise to support Sales, Marketing and product literature.
• Monitor relevant legislation and industry standards, supporting product compliance and the development of robust product governance processes.
• Liaise with industry bodies including BPF and undertake research into emerging industry developments.

Our client is looking for a customer focussed Product Manager who can demonstrate the following:

• Experience within Product Management ideally within manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure or a related sector.
• Proven experience in product strategy, portfolio management and product launches.
• Experience working across product development, customer-facing and commercial functions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
