Location: Maidstone
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (9:00am to 5:30pm)

Our client is a successful and growing business seeking an organised, commercially aware and technically minded leader to manage its Product Focus Team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in driving compliance, quality, supplier performance and new product introduction activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead, develop and support the Product Focus Team.
  • Set clear priorities, objectives and KPIs.
  • Manage workloads, deadlines and project delivery.
  • Oversee product compliance, certifications and technical documentation.
  • Ensure product records and specifications remain accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate new product introduction projects from concept through to launch.
  • Drive product development opportunities from internal and supplier proposals.
  • Manage product audits and compliance activities.
  • Investigate non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Analyse quality, supplier and complaint data to identify trends and improvements.
  • Work closely with Procurement to improve supplier performance and quality standards.
  • Support Customer Services, Sales and Marketing with accurate product information.
  • Produce KPI reports covering compliance, quality, supplier performance and project delivery.
  • Improve processes, document control and departmental procedures.

About You

 

  • Experience leading a product, technical, quality, compliance, manufacturing or operational team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident interpreting specifications, standards and technical information.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management experience.
  • Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

You will be a practical and approachable leader who enjoys solving problems, challenging assumptions constructively and ensuring actions are completed on time. You will lead by example, take ownership and help create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
