Why do we want you

At Wilmington plc, we're looking for a curious and commercially minded Product Manager to join us.

You'll work across a portfolio of specialist brands, each with its own customers, products and commercial priorities, so you'll need to be able to quickly understand unfamiliar domains, identify where the greatest value lies and make confident, evidence-based decisions.

Working closely with Engineering and business stakeholders, you'll use customer insight, data and product judgement to influence priorities, shape solutions and ensure we're investing in the initiatives that deliver the greatest value.

If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership, make an impact and help drive product-led decision-making, we'd love to hear from you!

Please note: To complete your application, you will be redirected to Wilmington plc’s career site.

At Wilmington plc, we celebrate individuality and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace. As a Disability Confident employer, we shortlist all applicants who meet the essential role criteria and guarantee an interview for candidates with disabilities who meet these criteria. As a Product Manager, you'll own a defined product domain, helping to identify the most valuable problems to solve for our customers and business.

You’ll lead discovery, shape product direction and work closely with Engineering to deliver solutions that create measurable impact.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Owning a defined product domain, identifying customer and business problems worth solving.
  • Prioritising opportunities and build evidence-based cases for inclusion in the wider product roadmap.
  • Leading discovery activities to understand user needs, validate assumptions and uncover valuable insights.
  • Partnering with Engineering to shape, deliver and continuously improve product solutions.
  • Delivering outcomes incrementally, using data, feedback and experimentation to guide decision-making.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations by clearly communicating priorities, trade-offs and roadmap decisions.
  • Measuring success and use performance insights to refine product strategy and future investment decisions.
  • Championing the effective use of AI tools to improve product delivery, research and team efficiency.

What’s the Best Thing About This Role

This is a role where your judgement really matters and you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a product domain from end to end, shaping not only what gets built, but why it gets built and the impact it delivers.

You'll work closely with customers, stakeholders and engineering teams to solve meaningful problems, influence product direction and see your decisions translate into real business and customer outcomes.

What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role

There will always be more good ideas than there is capacity to deliver them.

A key part of the role is making thoughtful prioritisation decisions, building the case for your domain and sometimes accepting that other initiatives will take precedence.

The challenge isn't just deciding what to do next, but being able to clearly explain why, backed by evidence, customer insight and business value.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience owning a product, product area or product domain through the full lifecycle, from identifying customer problems through to delivery and measuring outcomes.
  • Strong product judgement, with the ability to assess opportunities, prioritise effectively and make evidence-based decisions in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Experience leading discovery activities, using customer research, data and stakeholder insights to uncover problems and validate opportunities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams to shape solutions, manage trade-offs and drive delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence priorities and communicate decisions clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to quickly build understanding of unfamiliar business domains, customer needs and operational challenges.
  • Experience defining success measures and using data, feedback and outcomes to inform future product decisions.
  • Practical experience of Agile and iterative product development approaches, delivering value incrementally and learning from results.
  • Experience using AI tools to support activities such as research, analysis, prototyping or product delivery, with a clear understanding of where they add value.

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:

  • Experience working with business systems such as CRM, ERP, billing or e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience within regulated industries or complex, multi-brand organisations.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience interpreting business performance metrics or contributing to investment cases.
  • Experience working with distributed, remote or nearshore engineering teams.
  • Experience of operating in organisations undergoing product, technology or business transformation.

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.
