  • Experience within process engineering environments.
  • Understanding of hygienic design and equipment used within food processing applications.
The Ideal Contractor

This role would suit an experienced designer who enjoys product development and range expansion, rather than purely project-based design work.

You will need to be technically strong, commercially aware and confident working from specifications and engineering information. A key part of the role will be understanding how individual products fit into wider process systems and being able to interpret P&IDs, drawings and technical documentation.

You should also be comfortable reviewing design information produced by third parties, identifying discrepancies or improvements and ensuring the finished design meets the required specification.

The ability to work independently as a contractor, manage your own workload and communicate effectively with engineering teams, designers and suppliers will be important.
