Our client, a leading organisation within the Defence & Maritime Technology sector, is seeking a Lead Product Support Engineer to join their Production Engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to lead a growing Product Support team, providing technical leadership and support for complex electronic and mechanical products throughout their lifecycle.

• Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Product Support Engineering team.
• Mentor, train and develop Product Support Engineers, supporting both technical and professional growth.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex product and assembly-related issues.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting across manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Coordinate activities between Design, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and Suppliers.
• Support supplier discussions relating to components, sub-assemblies and manufacturability.
• Represent the department at technical and operational review meetings.
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity and efficiency initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Support production teams in achieving output, quality and delivery targets.
• Participate in strategic projects and business improvement activities as required.

• Proven experience leading engineering or technical teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of product support, manufacturing, assembly, and engineering processes.
• Knowledge of sensors, electrical systems, fabrication, or electromechanical products.
• Experience resolving complex technical and production-related issues.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with suppliers and supporting manufacturing operations.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance.
