Production Administrator

Crem Recruitment

Production Administrator
Haverhill, Suffolk
£14.50 – £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

There are some production environments where administration simply means paperwork.

This is not one of them.

Our client is a well-established manufacturing and engineering business delivering large-scale technical projects across the UK. Their operation moves quickly, their projects are complex, and the work happening behind the scenes is what keeps everything running smoothly.

They are now looking to appoint a Production Administrator to become a key part of that operation.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy production environment. Someone who takes pride in organisation, accuracy and making sure things happen when they should. You will work closely with production, operations and workshop teams, helping coordinate materials, stock, deliveries and production information across live projects.

The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, fast paced and highly collaborative. One minute you may be updating stock records and creating delivery documentation, the next you could be out in the workshop or yard checking material locations and supporting production planning.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to step into a role where you genuinely become part of the heartbeat of the business.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day coordination and administration of the production function, including:

  • Managing incoming materials and supplier deliveries through the internal management system
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock control activities
  • Creating delivery notes and supporting logistics coordination
  • Allocating materials to projects and supporting production scheduling
  • Assisting with production paperwork, reporting and document control
  • Liaising with workshop, purchasing and installation teams regarding material requirements and delivery schedules
  • Supporting the wider production and operations team with administrative coordination across live projects

What They Are Looking For

They are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working within a manufacturing, engineering or construction environment.

You may already be working within production administration, operations administration, stock control or project coordination and be looking for a role where you can become more involved in the wider operation.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, construction or similar industries would be highly advantageous.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous administration experience within a production, manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Confidence in managing multiple priorities at once
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • A proactive and dependable approach to work

Experience with stock control systems, ERP software or production planning systems would be beneficial, although not essential.

What’s On Offer

  • £14.50 – £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Long-term opportunity within a stable and growing business
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Varied role with real involvement across production and operations
  • Opportunity to develop your experience within a busy manufacturing environment
