Senior Production & Continuous Improvement Engineer – Barnsley – Up to £54,000

Senior Production & Continuous Improvement Engineer's Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support production engineering projects focused on improving efficiency, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives using techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, Kanban, and waste elimination methodologies.
• Manage the introduction of new components and engineering changes, ensuring accurate production documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimisation and operational improvements.
• Support the development of manufacturing layouts, workflow improvements, tooling, fixtures, and production systems to maximise operational performance.

Skills & Experience Required as a Senior Production & Continuous Improvement Engineer:

• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong background in production engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Previous experience leading projects, managing priorities, and influencing stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to coach and develop others.
