Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hrs
Salary: up to circa £45,000 per annum (experience dependant)

We are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a highly automated, advanced manufacturing environment. Working as part of a specialist Production Engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of projects, from new product introduction and equipment implementation through to automation, capacity improvement and process optimisation initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and ambitious engineer who enjoys driving improvement, managing projects and influencing manufacturing performance across a busy production operation.
As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering a variety of engineering and continuous improvement projects, including:
- Managing manufacturing projects from concept through to successful implementation
- Supporting new product introduction activities, including equipment specification, procurement, commissioning and production launch
- Driving process optimisation projects to improve productivity, efficiency and quality
- Leading investigations into manufacturing issues and implementing sustainable corrective actions
- Analysing production performance data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Supporting automation and robotics projects across the manufacturing operation
- Developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions and production documentation
- Working closely with operations, quality, maintenance and suppliers to deliver project objectives
- Leading Kaizen and continuous improvement activities focused on reducing waste and improving performance
- Supporting capacity improvement, layout and material flow projects
Skills and Experience
- Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or Apprenticeship)
- Experience within a Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineering role
- Proven experience delivering engineering projects and process improvements within manufacturing
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement techniques
- Experience of NPI, automation or production improvement projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and take ownership of projects
- Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
