Production Engineer (CNC Milling)

Salary: Circa £65,000 per annum
Location: On-site
Hours: Full-time, Salaried – 45 hours per week (Day Shift)
Working Pattern: Flexible start times with core hours based around an 8:00am start. Many employees choose to start earlier.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong CNC Milling background who is looking to take on a leadership-focused engineering role within a medium to high complexity manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading continuous improvement initiatives within the CNC Milling section, developing manufacturing solutions for new products, and optimising existing machining processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and develop CNC machining solutions for new components.

  • Improve and optimise existing CNC programs and manufacturing processes.

  • Provide technical leadership and support within the CNC Milling section.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.

  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.

  • Support problem-solving and process development in a medium to high complexity manufacturing environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience within CNC Milling manufacturing or production engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes.

  • Experience improving manufacturing methods and driving process improvements.

  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor colleagues where required.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
