  • Creating and maintaining Work Instructions, Operating Procedures and Test Specifications.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) from pilot builds through to full-scale production.
  • Working closely with Design and R&D teams on Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Defining assembly procedures, process parameters and production methods.
  • Specifying, procuring and maintaining production equipment, tooling, jigs and fixtures.
  • Supporting the introduction of automation, including automated assembly and test systems.
  • Providing day-to-day technical support to production operators and technicians.
  • Investigating defects, scrap and rework through root-cause analysis.
  • Identifying production bottlenecks and driving improvements in efficiency and productivity.
  • Leading continuous improvement activities using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen and similar methodologies.
  • Supporting cost reduction and process optimisation initiatives.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer with a background in an electromechanical manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

  • At least 2 years' experience in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Experience working with electromechanical assemblies, such as motors, sensors, PCBs, actuators and wiring.
  • A good understanding of both mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D and Ishikawa/root-cause analysis.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP, Oracle or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across Design, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams.

Why Join?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing environment where you will have genuine influence over production processes, NPI and continuous improvement.

You will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of electromechanical products while developing your technical and manufacturing engineering expertise.
