We are currently recruiting for a Production Line Leader to join a busy and established food manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Colchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Operative who is ready to take the next step in their career and move into a more senior, hands-on role.

You don't necessarily need previous Line Leader experience, but you will need a good understanding of working within a food production environment, a positive attitude and the confidence to take on additional responsibility.

The Role – Production Line Leader Duties:

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the production line.
• Helping organise and coordinate production staff to ensure daily targets are achieved.
• Monitoring production processes and maintaining expected output levels.
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring products meet required standards.
• Supporting and motivating team members, leading by example.
• Ensuring production areas and machinery are kept clean and tidy.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health and safety.
• Assisting with hands-on production duties when required.
• Reporting any production issues and helping resolve problems.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working as a Production Operative within a food manufacturing and production environment.
• Someone looking to progress into a Line Leader or supervisory position.
• Confident taking responsibility and supporting colleagues.
• Good understanding of production targets, quality and food hygiene standards.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain organised.
• Flexible to work Monday–Friday, with regular Saturday availability.

Why Apply?

• £14.00 per hour.
• Temp to Perm opportunity.
• Full-time, Monday–Friday working pattern.
• Opportunity to develop into a Line Leader position.
• Immediate start available.

Important – Own Transport Required

Due to the location of the site, candidates must have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle. There are no public transport links available, so reliable independent transport is essential.
