Production/Machine Operative

Location: Middleton, Manchester
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.12 per hour upon successful completion of the qualifying period
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality foam products and are looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operative to join our growing production team in Middleton.

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 15:30

• Operate large-scale manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and report any issues promptly.
• Ensure products meet quality and production standards.

• Lift, move and handle paper rolls and foam blocks weighing up to 25kg.
• Support production processes through safe and effective material handling.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

• Use basic computer systems to manage workflows and production information.
• Accurately record production data and complete required documentation.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual handling duties.
• Confident using computers in a workplace setting.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.

• FLT Counterbalance Licence preferred but not essential.
• Training may be provided for the right candidate.

• Starting rate of £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.12 per hour following successful completion of the qualifying period.
