Our client, a small to medium sized production company, are looking to recruit a well versed, hands on Production Manger to join their team.

Overview

To organise and manage Day to Day production, identify all areas of concern and implement the necessary actions to meet production requirements and maintain all standards including H&S, Environmental and Quality.

Responsibilities 

  • Assume responsibility for All Production Personnel Supervision’.
  • Assume responsibility for ‘Monitoring Production & Maintaining standards of H&S, Environmental, Processing and within quality standards’.
  • Assume responsibility for ‘Monitoring Performance against agreed KPI’s and Customer Expectations’

Key Tasks

  • In conjunction with site personnel, manage order books and control production/workflow.
  • In conjunction with site personnel, liaise with customers, understand all requirements and supply updates as scheduled/required.
  • Review daily capacity to ensure efficient use of all facilities and resources.
  • Allocate the necessary resources to meet customer requirements, escalate shortfalls through to GM if necessary. 
  • Provide leadership and direction to monitor production to ensure all management standards are maintained (ie H&S, Quality, Environmental, Processing, Conduct etc).
  • Manage personnel –Install discipline and maintain standards through informal and formal procedures if necessary.  Escalate personnel concerns through to senior management if required.
  • Monitor daily checks and logs of all plant, equipment and process solutions, escalate concerns and requirements through to senior management.
  • Monitor pricing of work, identify all AOG’s, apply premiums (as relevant),
  • Monitor standards, instigate investigations regarding Re-works/NCR’s and implement all required corrective and preventative actions as per quality standards.
  • Attend and report at periodic Management Review Meetings providing accurate, relevant and up to date data, including variances to budget.
  • Undertake all employee appraisals to monitor core skills, training records and development to ensure a reliable and competent workforce.
  • Constantly identify, propose and implement cost saving opportunities through continuous improvement process.
  • Maintain constant flexibility to manage your team by providing full support at all times.

This is a permanent role where you will be expected to work a day shift Monday to Friday.  In return you can expect a salary of £50k - £58k dependant on previous experience.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working within an industrial setting with some exposure to the Aerospace industry.
