Production Manager
Blue Oak Recruitment
Can you bring Process to Craftmanship?
We’re recruiting for a business that manufactures a genuinely high-end, bespoke product, and they’re looking for a Production Manager who can bring greater structure, consistency and efficiency to the operation.
In short, they need someone who loves process.
Someone who walks onto a production floor and naturally asks:
Why are we doing it this way? Where are the bottlenecks? What can we standardise? How can we improve planning, reduce waste and make the operation run better?
Ideally, you’ll come from a timber, joinery, furniture, woodworking or similar manufacturing background, where you understand that quality and craftsmanship can’t be sacrificed simply to chase output.
And neither can the people.
This isn’t about arriving with a clipboard and changing everything overnight. It’s about understanding the operation, earning the respect of the team and putting the right processes and measures in place to help everyone perform better.
You’ll take responsibility for production planning and scheduling, OTIF delivery, capacity, quality, cost and efficiency, while continually reviewing how the manufacturing operation can improve and scale.
You’ll also play a key part in developing the team, identifying training needs and building a skilled, loyal manufacturing culture.
We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, process driven and comfortable challenging the way things have always been done — but who also understands that the best improvements happen when you take people with you.
If you’re a Production Manager who enjoys improving the way things work and you’ve worked in timber or another quality-led manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you.
