Production Manager in Redhill, Surrey

Production Manager | Shop Floor Leadership | Up to £60,000

A well-established manufacturer is looking for a Production Manager to run the factory and help the business grow.

This is a practical leadership role. You will take ownership of how work moves through the site — planning the team, keeping quality and delivery on track, and finding better ways to build product without adding unnecessary cost or time.

The role

• Run day-to-day production and keep jobs moving
• Plan labour and materials so work can start on time
• Lead and brief the team each day
• Work closely with design, quality, purchasing and management
• Track output, quality and despatch performance
• Improve processes, layouts and lead times
• Maintain safety standards and accurate production records

What we’re looking for

• Solid mechanical manufacturing experience
• Previous production or workshop leadership
• Confident reading drawings and technical information
• Used to driving lean / continuous improvement
• Strong organiser who can lead a team
• Comfortable with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• CAD experience would be an advantage
