Are you an experienced Production Manager who enjoys being close to the shop floor, leading people and making sure production runs properly?

We’re recruiting for a Production Manager to join an established specialist engineering manufacturer in Rugby. You’ll take overall responsibility for day-to-day production, bringing together fabrication, welding, mechanical fitting, finishing and planning to keep work moving, maintain quality and hit customer deadlines.

The Role:

• Leading day-to-day manufacturing and workshop operations
• Coordinating production across different engineering departments
• Working closely with production planning to manage workload and capacity
• Monitoring output, deadlines and quality
• Identifying bottlenecks and keeping jobs moving through production
• Supporting and developing team leaders and shop-floor staff
• Maintaining strong health & safety standards
• Working with engineering, purchasing and stores to resolve production issues
• Helping improve processes, efficiency and overall workshop performance

What we need:

• Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Workshop Manager
• Strong engineering or manufacturing background
• Good understanding of fabrication, welding and mechanical assembly
• Experience leading skilled shop-floor teams
• Confident managing production schedules, priorities and deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• Practical leadership style and comfortable being visible on the shop floor

Experience within specialist vehicles, commercial vehicles, fabricated equipment, heavy engineering or bespoke manufacturing would be particularly relevant.
