We are recruiting an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing organisation in Cardiff.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading Production, Stores and Planning, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day Production, Stores and Planning operations.
• Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demand.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Oversee stock control, inventory accuracy, goods-in, picking and dispatch.
• Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Purchasing and Quality teams.
• Analyse operational data and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing production team.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, including ISO 13485.
• Maintain effective use of ERP/MRP systems across production and inventory.

The successful candidate:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager.
• Experience within medical devices, electronics or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 and quality systems.
• Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems, including BOMs, routings, works orders and inventory.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• A results-driven approach with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Qualified in an Engineering, Production Management or a related discipline.
