Production Manager
We're looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our production operation, ensuring exceptional performance, outstanding quality and a safe, efficient working environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll inspire your team, optimise production processes and drive continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for delivering operational excellence, achieving ambitious performance targets and creating a culture where safety, quality and people come first.
Production Manager's Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the day-to-day production operation, ensuring every process runs safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Lead all production and washing operations.
- Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Deliver production targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Maximise productivity by improving equipment utilisation and reducing downtime.
- Monitor operational performance and respond quickly to any issues.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across the production team.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Identify risks, implement improvements and maintain a safe working environment.
- Support audits and ensure operational procedures are consistently followed.
- Analyse production performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead initiatives that increase productivity, improve quality and reduce waste.
- Monitor KPIs and implement effective corrective actions.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement across the operation.
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing production team.
- Coach and support colleagues to achieve their full potential.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
- Ensure employees receive the training and development needed to succeed.
Production Manager Specification:
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- A solid understanding of production planning, quality systems and continuous improvement.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and production or automation systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related discipline is desirable.
