£45,000 - £50,000 + 10% Car Allowance

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions are working with a well-established specialist glass manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead their busy manufacturing operation in Mansfield.

This is a hands-on Production Manager position where you'll have genuine responsibility for production performance, quality, people and continuous improvement across a specialist flat glass manufacturing environment.

The company has over 35 years' experience within the industry and manufactures and supplies toughened, laminated, heat-strengthened and decorative glass.

Rotational shift pattern, depending on business requirements:

• 1 week 6am-2pm
• 1 week 2pm-10pm
• Or standard 8am-5pm, depending on operational requirements

THE ROLE

As Production Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the production facility, ensuring that customer requirements, production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.

• Managing daily production across glass processing, toughening and laminating
• Leading, motivating and supporting production teams on the shop floor
• Ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met
• Monitoring workflow, productivity and machine performance
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
• Troubleshooting production issues and providing practical, hands-on solutions
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures
• Coordinating daily production activities and prioritising workload
• Supporting machine maintenance and operational efficiency
• Developing and supporting the training of production employees
• Driving a positive culture around quality, safety, performance and accountability

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced Production Manager who is comfortable being hands-on and visible on the shop floor, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.

• Proven experience in Production Management within the flat glass industry
• Strong knowledge of glass toughening, processing and laminating
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to production management
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment
• The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• A genuine focus on achieving high standards of quality and production performance
