The Role: What You'll Do

Your focus will be on site reliability, performance, compliance, quality, and resource control. You will use your organisational skills to help your team perform at their best while remaining adaptable to handle operational challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage daily production activity and nurture your team by reviewing processes, training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Operational Excellence: Take accountability for site reliability, performance, water quality, and resource control/usage metrics.
  • Health & Safety: Supervise, control, and take ultimate accountability for operational health and safety, promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budget setting, cost center accountability, and financial performance.
  • Performance & Reporting: Measure and manage team performance (appraisals, KPIs, outcomes) and handle operational reporting (activity, attendance, exceptions).
  • Incident & Stakeholder Management: Provide expert management support during operational incidents and collaborate with fellow Operational Managers and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
What You'll Need

We are looking for an attentive leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational management. To be successful, you will need:
  • Proven Experience:Background in managing or supervising a production or operational site, with a strong track record of leading a team.
  • Industry Insight:Previous experience within the Water Industry is essential.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to solve complex problems and a genuine passion for continuous improvement.
  • Safety First Mindset: A deep understanding of and commitment to promoting a positive health and safety culture.
  • Mobility: A full, clean UK driver's license.
