Location: Ulverston
Pay Rate: £14.03 per hour
Contract: Temporary (2-3 months) - potential for permanent role for right candidate if there was a vacancy
Hours: 37 hours per week
Our client based in Ulverston is currently seeking Production/Assembly Operatives to join their team on a temporary basis for approximately 2-3 months.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 4:45pm
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Two paid 10-minute breaks
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling products to specification while adhering to company processes, quality standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow manufacturing documentation and assembly instructions.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly using the correct tools and equipment.
- Ensure products are built to required quality standards and delivery expectations.
- Complete shop order paperwork accurately and maintain full traceability of parts.
- Report progress on assigned tasks and highlight any potential delays.
- Ensure equipment is within calibration and maintenance periods.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Achieve and maintain J-Standard soldering qualification as required.
- Identify, report and support the resolution of product and material non-conformances.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and maintain a safe working environment.
About You
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Soldering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
