Production Operative

£15.05 per hour | Rotating Shifts | Monday to Friday

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 1:45pm – 9:45pm

About the Role

We are looking for reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious individuals to join a busy production team. As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packed, labelled, and prepared accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely pack chemicals into a variety of containers and outer packaging in line with company procedures.
  • Operate measuring and weighing equipment accurately.
  • Complete production and stock transactions using computer-based systems.
  • Assemble, seal, and label products correctly, ensuring compliance with UN regulations.
  • Verify batch numbers, chemical codes, and product labels for accuracy.
  • Prioritise and safely move chemical containers, including IBCs, drums, and sacks.
  • Apply supply and UN labels where required.
  • Palletise finished products and prepare them for warehouse transfer.
  • Support the movement of raw materials and finished goods across site.
  • Process returned packaging for reuse in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Carry out routine quality inspections and checks.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and basic upkeep.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and organised workplace.
  • Support stock control activities and the disposal of redundant materials.
