Job Title: Production Operative

Salary: £12.71p/h

HRGO are currently recruiting for a reliable and hands-on Production Operative with experience working in a workshop, engineering, manufacturing or mechanical environment.

This is a varied role combining workshop duties with customer support responsibilities. The successful candidate will be involved in refurbishing and inspecting mechanical seals, managing stock, and supporting the day-to-day running of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Refurbish and repair mechanical seals using workshop machinery and hand tools.
• Carry out quality inspections on incoming and outgoing products.
• Operate workshop equipment, including lapping machines, lathes, and milling machines (training provided where required).

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
• Support other workshop and operational activities as required.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Previous experience working in a workshop, engineering, manufacturing, or mechanical environment.
• Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Desirable:

• Experience in mechanical seal refurbishment or a similar engineering industry.
