Production Operative

Our client, an industry leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operative to join their team in Farnborough on a contract basis.

• Manufacture of new and existing products within the production cells
• Assist with problem-solving for new products prior to productionisation
• Provide support for new product introduction (NPI)
• Identify foolproof tooling requirements
• Assist in training operators to ensure high standards of production
• Ensure documentation is accurate and legible
• Apply and demonstrate problem-solving techniques such as PDCA, cause and effect, and the 5 'whys' for continuous improvement
• Influence quality improvements through technical innovation
• Liaise effectively with the Engineering department

• Experience in welding, soldering, or brazing, as well as general assembly
• Understanding of new product introduction processes
• Proficiency in training personnel
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• High level of accuracy and commitment to quality work
• Understanding and application of problem-solving techniques like PDCA, cause and effect, and the 5 'whys'
• Preferably a formal engineering qualification or demonstrable relevant experience
